Three reconnaissance planes spotted near Russian border
Three reconnaissance aircraft were recorded on the Russian border - near Crimea and Kaliningrad, according to surveillance data.
On February 15, at 12:25 (Hanoi time), a US Air Force RC-135V radio surveillance aircraft with hull number 64-14841 and call sign YAWN61 took off from Souda Bay air base in Greece.

The aircraft crossed Bulgarian airspace, changed its registration to MEYER62, headed for the Black Sea and conducted reconnaissance near the southeastern border of Crimea.
Not far from the peninsula, the US RQ-4B-30 Global Hawk drone with hull number 11-2048 and call sign FORTE10 was also recorded operating.
It took off at 09:05 (Hanoi time) from NATO's Sigonella air base on the island of Sicily. Crossing the airspace of Greece and Ukraine, the UAV flew for several hours at the Crimean border and circled the peninsula several times, approaching the coast at a distance of 36.5 km.
The flight over the western border of Russia was carried out by the Swedish Air Force electronic reconnaissance aircraft GIV SP with the hull number 102003. The aircraft took off from Linköping air base at 15:10 (Hanoi time), and after an hour and a half, it was recorded in the Kaliningrad Oblast flight information region.
