Mrs. Merkel banned from flying on Airbus helicopters
Germany's defense minister has banned the use of three Airbus Cougar AS532 military helicopters to transport Angela Merkel on official trips.

According to Reuters, the decision was made after a similar civilian aircraft crashed in Norway.
Germany operates three modified versions of the Cougar AS532 helicopter for government and state purposes. According to the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, these aircraft will not be used until the investigation into the disaster is completed.
Earlier, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) suspended flights of Airbus H225 LP and AS332 L2 Super Puma helicopters due to structural defects.
