North Central region has widespread heavy rain, risk of flooding

Due to the influence of low pressure, the North Central provinces will continue to have heavy rain over a wide area, with a risk of flooding.

According to the News from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (August 23), due to the low pressure axis being pushed back to the South, the rain in the Northern provinces will gradually decrease, while the North Central provinces will still have heavy rain over a large area, with the possibility of flooding. The daily temperature will decrease accordingly, with the highest in no place exceeding 32oC.

As the low pressure moves south, the Central and South Central provinces will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, helping the heat to continue to narrow the area. During the day, the sky will be mostly cloudy with occasional sunshine, with the highest temperature ranging from 33 to 36 degrees Celsius.

In the South, in the Central Highlands and Southern provinces, there will be more rain. There will be moderate rain, heavy rain to very heavy rain and thunderstorms will also increase. Heavy rain will mainly be concentrated tonight and tomorrow afternoon due to the southwest wind that is in the process of strengthening and bringing moisture.

During the day, the sunny time is almost only in the early morning. The highest temperature is 28 - 31oC in the Central Highlands and 31 -33oC in the South.
