My Tam's hit song 'Dau chi rieng em' is suspected of plagiarism
After more than 10 days of release, My Tam's hit song 'Dau chi rieng em' composed by musician Khac Hung was discovered to have many similarities with the Chinese song 'Tinh lai dong tim thach dau'.
On July 17, My Tam released her latest hit titled Dau chi rieng em. The song was composed by Khac Hung and the entire MV was filmed with only one close-up shot without editing. Dau chi rieng em quickly became a hit because of its sad content. In the MV, My Tam acted very passionately, shedding tears many times. Therefore, after only 10 days, the product reached 9 million views on Youtube.

However, recently, many audiences discovered that My Tam's sad hit has many similarities with a Chinese song called "Love makes my heart flutter". It is not difficult to see that the melodies of some parts, especially the chorus in the two songs are quite similar. However, what is more difficult to deny is that the sound in Khac Hung's compositions has a strong Chinese musical color.
The suspicion that Khac Hung “referred” to Chinese music when writing the song “Dau chi rieng em” made My Tam’s fans restless. Because for many years, since the hit “Nhu mot giac mo”, My Tam has not had a product that has caused such a strong effect on the community and media as this time. While the sad hit by Brown-haired Nightingale is still spreading, the suspicion of plagiarism has arisen.

Khac Hung just wrote a long status on his personal page. |
On his personal page on the evening of July 28, Khac Hung shared about the incident: "Hung was just sent a link to a Chinese song "Love Lay Dong Long Thap Dau" by a friend to listen to and discovered that the chorus melody of the song "Dau Chi Rieng Em" that Hung just wrote for singer My Tam is very similar to the chorus of this Chinese song. Hung was really startled and confused when he heard it, because honestly he had never heard this song before. Hung knows that at this time, no matter what he says, it is difficult for people to think that this is a coincidence, but Hung must take responsibility for this."
The young musician said: "In any case, Hung's song came out later and was like that, so Hung would like to apologize to the audience and especially to Ms. My Tam when things turned out like this. But Hung would like to assure that Hung has never heard this song and also does not know why there is such a strange coincidence. And Hung thanks Ms. My Tam for texting to share and believing that I did not listen to this Chinese song to write it."
"At this time, Hung is also a musician trusted and highly appreciated by many artists and professionals, so no matter how bad Hung is, he cannot listen to a song and write exactly the same song for a famous singer like My Tam to sing. This is really absurd," Khac Hung further explained.
