Returning to the border village of Tung Huong, Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong) after more than 10 years, what surprised us was that most of the internal traffic system had been completed.concretization, people's lives have improved significantly.

Standing next to the pile of cement that had just been unloaded so that the village could prepare to continue building the road, the head of Tung Huong village, Mr. La Van Hoang, happily said: Due to the difficult economic conditions of the households in the village, every year the village contributes to building a section of concrete road.

Every time there is a road construction campaign, the village organizes many meetings, agrees on the level of sand and gravel contribution and donates land to widen the road surface. With the consensus and high support of the people, along with the technical support and working days of the officers and soldiers of Tam Quang Border Post, the road is built firmly. Each year, a section is built, like last year the village built 600m, now the commune has given priority to provide 25 tons of cement to build about 600m more.

To have materials for road construction, in addition to cement, which has been supported by the commune and district, the villagers also agreed on the amount of sand and gravel that must be contributed. Every time the village builds a road, each person must contribute at least 50 kg of sand and gravel. Sand and gravel are taken from the streams and streams in front of the village, using a tractor with a bucket to pull them up. Just like that, the campaign to build concrete roads inTung Huong versionusually held in the first months of the year, when the weather is still cool.

“In the past, when there were no tractors, people had to work hard to carry sand and gravel from the stream. Now, thanks to tractors, people contribute money to buy engine oil, transport sand and gravel to build the road, so it is less difficult. It is worth mentioning that when the village reaches a certain section of the road, people on both sides of the road volunteer to help.donate landand assets on land to expand the sidewalk," said Mr. La Van Hoang.

By doing so, up to now, Tung Huong village has had more than 6/9 km of internal village roads concreted cleanly and beautifully. It is expected that in a few years, 100% of the village roads will be concreted.

Ms. La Thi Huong, a resident of Tung Huong village, said excitedly: Before, the dirt roads were often muddy and slippery during the rainy season, making it difficult to walk, let alone ride bicycles or motorbikes. When the roads were paved with concrete, every household was eager to buy motorbikes to get around; agricultural products were also easier to transport for consumption.

Ms. Kha Thi Hien - Chairman of Tam Quang Commune People's Committee said: Tung Huong is a border village, more than 16 km from the commune center, the life of the people is the most difficult in the commune. In recent years, together with the locality to implement the criteria for building new rural areas, the commune has always prioritized supporting the village to implement the criteria, in which, the most prominent is the criterion for building rural traffic.

“During the process of constructing concrete roads, Tung Huong village has always received enthusiastic support from officers and soldiers of Tam Quang Border Post in terms of working days and techniques. Therefore, the roads have been deployed in a timely manner, not only ensuring quality but also becoming more beautiful. The main road from National Highway 7 to Tung Huong border village has been invested in by the State to be paved with asphalt more than 10 years ago, along with the roads within the village have been paved with concrete, so Tung Huong villagers have more advantages to develop the economy, the lives of Thai people here are increasingly improving”, Ms. Kha Thi Hien shared./.
