Selling hazardous waste, an individual in Nghe An was fined 175 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - When Mr. Bao was selling 3,779 kg of used lead batteries to another person, he was discovered by the Environmental Police (Nghe An Provincial Police).
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 3915/QD-UBND to sanction administrative violations in the field of environmental protection against Mr. Pham Quoc Bao (born in 1980, residing in Quang Trung ward, Vinh city, Nghe An).
Previously, on August 14, Mr. Bao sold 3,779 kg of used lead batteries to another person. However, this person did not have a license to handle hazardous waste in accordance with regulations. This act was discovered by the Environmental Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) and a record of administrative violations was made.
Mr. Pham Quoc Bao's behavior violates the provisions of Point e, Clause 6, Article 22 of Decree 155/2016/ND-CP dated November 18, 2016 of the Government.
For this violation, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee decided to administratively fine Mr. Bao 175 million VND.
