Northwest Steering Committee and Nghe Tinh Port give Tet gifts to poor households in Tan Ky

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 13, a working delegation of the Northwest Steering Committee led by comrade Nguyen Canh Viet - Deputy Head of the Northwest Steering Committee visited and presented gifts to policy families and poor households in Phu Son and Dong Van communes, Tan Ky district.tAt the headquarters of Phu Son Commune People's Committee.

The working group crossed the river by ferry across the Con River to Phu Son commune (Tan Ky).

The delegation had to walk about 1.5km to the gift-giving place.

Being a commune far from the district center, although receiving attention and support from the Party, the State and local authorities at all levels, due to its large area and difficult transportation, Phu Son still faces many difficulties. The educational level of the people is low and uneven, and the application of scientific and technological advances in production and livestock farming by many households has not improved economic efficiency. Meanwhile, the consumption of produced goods is difficult, especially during the rainy season, when Phu Son commune is completely isolated... Therefore, despite great efforts in production, up to now, Phu Son commune still has up to 39% of poor households (according to the new standards).

Comrade Nguyen Canh Viet gave a New Year's greeting and shared the difficulties of the people of Phu Son and Dong Van communes. He hoped that the people would strive harder in labor and production to gradually escape poverty and become rich.

At the gift-giving ceremony, comrade Nguyen Canh Viet kindly inquired about the health of the people and wished the families in Phu Son commune, Dong Van a joyful, peaceful and happy new year. At the same time, he noted that with the potential of large alluvial land, in addition to the attention and support of the Party and the State, each person himself also needs to apply new production methods, choose seedlings suitable for the soil and climate for production. From there, rise up to develop the economy - society, gradually escape poverty, improve the quality of life.

Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh presented 10 gifts, each worth 500 thousand VND, to 10 poor households of Phu Son commune.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Northwest Steering Committee, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh presented 50 gifts, each worth 500 thousand VND to 50 poor households in Phu Son commune; 50 gifts, each worth 500 thousand VND to 50 poor households in Dong Van commune. This is an activity within the social security gift giving program to welcome the Lunar New Year 2016, which the Northwest Steering Committee mobilized units and businesses nationwide to donate to support the poor and ethnic minorities.

On behalf of poor households in Phu Son and Dong Van communes, the leaders of the two communes received meaningful gifts to help poor households in the two communes have a warm Tet Binh Than from the leaders of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company.

On this occasion, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company also presented 100 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor households in Phu Son and Dong Van communes.
