(Baonghean.vn) - On May 20, representatives of the Department of Social Affairs of Nghe An Newspaper presented gifts from readers to the families of two orphaned children in Thanh My (Thanh Chuong).

After Nghe An Newspaper published the tragic situation of twin boys Nguyen Ba Tuan and Nguyen Ba Duc (born in 2011) who lost their mother at the age of 3, the children of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh in Hamlet 10, Thanh My Commune (Thanh Chuong). Many readers at home and abroad came to help the two children with cash, supplies, and essential items.

The pitiful situation of the two children received much attention and sympathy from the community.

Recently, reader Doan Quang Tuan (Hanoi) supported and asked Nghe An Newspaper to give an electric fan, a rice cooker and 1 million VND to the family of two children.

As reported, Tuan and Duc were abandoned by their father and paternal family while still in their mother's womb. Ms. Anh became pregnant with twins and raised them alone in difficult conditions, having to live with her parents. To maintain her life and buy milk for her children, she had to do all kinds of jobs, from porter to construction worker... In 2015, Ms. Anh was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and passed away on (January 8, 2016). Tuan and Duc were cared for by their grandparents in poor family conditions.

It is known that the money donated by many organizations and individuals to help the two children was directed by the leaders of Thanh Chuong district to be handed over to the People's Committee of Thanh My commune to supervise and protect to ensure the children's future and demonstrate financial transparency.
