Handing over breeding cows to 21 poor households in Quynh Tho commune
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 31, at Quynh Tho commune, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with Quynh Luu district and Quynh Tho commune to hand over 21 cows to 21 poor households in the commune.
The above breeding cows belong to the 2016 Sustainable Poverty Reduction Project of the Provincial People's Committee, invested by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (PTNT). The cows assigned are breeding cows, aged 6-7 months, with an average value of 15 million VND/cow. Upon handover, they are fully inspected and vaccinated.

Quynh Tho is the only commune in Quynh Luu district to benefit from this program, the poverty rate of the whole commune is 6.34%; households receiving cows are selected from 95 poor households in the area.

Speaking to the people, the representative of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development clearly stated the purpose and meaning of the program, hoping that people would take good care of their cows; at the same time, he requested that local authorities monitor and guide them to manage the breeding source to develop and bring high efficiency.

It is known that in addition to 21 cows handed over to Quynh Tho, this time the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also handed over 21 cows to Nghi Thiet commune, 20 cows to Hung Nguyen district, a total of 62 cows were handed over to 62 poor households in the province./.
