Previously, on September 6, the authorities of Dien Chau district discovered that a food business in Hamlet 5, Dien Thanh commune, owned by Mr. Tran Van Ngoc, born in 1993 and residing in Hamlet 1, Dien Binh commune, was keeping two rare wild animals in captivity: a fox weighing 4kg and a wild cat weighing nearly 2kg.

During the process, Mr. Ngoc could not present documents proving the origin as well as legal documents from the competent state agency confirming permission to keep the animal.

The authorities have seized and handed over two individuals to the Pu Mat National Park Wildlife Rescue Center for care and conservation. At the same time, they will continue to expand the investigation and take measures to handle Mr. Tran Van Ngoc according to the provisions of the law.
