The Provincial Party Standing Committee approved the Provincial Public Security Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term.

A CLEARER ASSESSMENT OF COORDINATION WORK

The evaluation of the results of 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020 of the Provincial Public Security Party Committee highlighted the results in leadership and direction of implementing political tasks in the following areas:

Advisory work for Party committees and authorities, national security protection work; crime prevention and control, state management of security and order, civil judgment enforcement and judicial support; basic professional work, national security protection movement, foreign affairs, international cooperation;...

The report also clearly assesses the results in leadership and direction of Party building and logistics force building; at the same time, it points out advantages and disadvantages, identifies causes, and draws profound lessons in leadership and direction of all aspects of work.

The general direction and goal of the Provincial Public Security Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is to "firmly protect national security, ensure social order and safety in all situations, build a clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern Nghe An Public Security force to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation".

The political report has identified specific targets, tasks and solutions that are close to the actual situation and highly feasible for effective implementation.

At the meeting, opinions suggested that the Political Report should more clearly assess the coordination between the Provincial Police force and Party committees, sectors and localities to carry out tasks.

Comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee cited: In cases where there are not cases that need to be prosecuted but must be considered for Party and government discipline, coordination is needed to implement.

Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee requested the Provincial Police to continue to promote the effectiveness of models in the Movement for the whole people to protect national security; pay attention to the proportion of female cadres and the proportion of ethnic minority cadres in mountainous areas.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung suggested that it is necessary to further evaluate the results of the implementation of tasks in the field of economic security, especially the role in implementing projects, contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the province, which the Provincial Police have performed well.

In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also suggested considering shortening the Congress theme; defining key tasks and appropriate breakthroughs.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong also said that it is necessary to have a deeper assessment of detecting and handling economic and position-related cases; at the same time, continue to strengthen measures associated with the goal of building a people's security posture in the area.

Regarding the context of the situation in the new term, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son suggested adding more challenges from non-traditional security, to have a more correct and complete awareness for leadership and direction; be more proactive in forecasting, grasping the situation, and building forces.

In the new term, the Provincial Police need to continue to pay attention to building the force in general, especially the regular police force at the commune level, to ensure quality and efficiency so that the force is strong from the grassroots level.

ENSURING SOCIAL ORDER AND SECURITY

Concluding this content, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged the direction of the congresses of Party committees and grassroots Party cells and the preparation work for the Provincial Public Security Party Congress.

However, the Political Report needs to describe fully, consistently, and cover the tasks that the Party Committee has led and directed in the recent past, such as:

Regarding the goals, tasks, and solutions for the coming term, in addition to paying attention to the impacts of non-traditional security, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized a number of key tasks for the Provincial Public Security Party Committee.

That is, Party committees at all levels need to continue to lead the implementation of measures to ensure social order and safety, which is extremely important because it is directly related to people's lives.

In particular, the police force needs to have a plan to ensure good security and order in economic zones and industrial parks when the number of workers is increasing; at the same time, fight against environmental crimes, commercial fraud, violations of food safety and hygiene, illegal mining, etc.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the provincial police force to resolutely fight against drug crimes; firmly protect national security associated with ensuring security in special areas; and build a regular, elite force.

In particular, in building the force, the head of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the Provincial Police need to pay attention to training and fostering for the entire force, especially for the regular police force at the commune level, skills and experience in propaganda and mass mobilization with the people... to not only promptly handle on-site situations related to social order and safety but also be a source of trust and support for the people.

The 14th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Police Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term will be held under the motto: "Proactive - Creative - Solidarity - Discipline - Exemplary - Responsibility - Efficiency", taking place in 1.5 days. The official opening session will be held on the morning of August 26.
