The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to martyrs.

(Baonghean.vn) - The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Provincial Party Committee reporters came to offer incense, commemorate and pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Road 9 and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), on July 14, a delegation of officials from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Provincial Party Committee reporters led by comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department came to offer incense, flowers, commemorate and pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Road 9 and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

Truong Son Martyrs' Cemetery is the place where the graves of 10,263 martyrs of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam and the People's Army of Vietnam on the Truong Son route - Ho Chi Minh trail are gathered.

The National Route 9 Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of more than 10,000 heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the Route 9 front and in Laos. Quang Tri Citadel - a place that marked a fierce and heroic battle in 81 days and nights in 1972 of our army and people in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

At these places, the Delegation respectfully expressed their infinite gratitude and deep appreciation for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their youth, blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

This is one of the meaningful activities of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, demonstrating the morality of remembering the source of drinking water, deep gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation - one of the practical activities towards the 87th anniversary of the Party's Propaganda Department's Traditional Day (August 1, 1930 - August 1, 2017)./.
