The Sun reported that the cake, 1.93 km long, was made by 100 bakers in Italy along the riverbank of the city of Naples on May 18, within 11 hours.
The ingredients to make this record-breaking pizza include two tons of flour, 1.6 tons of tomatoes, 2 tons of mozzarella cheese, 200 liters of oil and 1,500 liters of water. The pizza broke the world record for the longest pizza.
Alessandro Marinacci, from the pizza village of Naples, who also organised the event, was delighted to enjoy a small slice of the record-breaking pie.
"This is an honor for our city of Naples, the birthplace of pizza. The pie was cooked in the traditional Neapolitan style," he said.

The previous record for the world's longest pizza was set last year at a food fair in Milan. The pizza was 1.6 kilometers long, made from 1.5 tons of mozzarella cheese and two tons of tomato sauce. More than 60 chefs worked together to make and cook the pizza, which weighed a total of 5 tons, for 18 hours.
