Commenting on the implementation of the Press Law in January 2017, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department acknowledged the contributions of press agencies in strictly implementing propaganda guidelines during the month. The highlights revolved around the activities of Party and State leaders and people preparing to celebrate the traditional New Year of the nation.

Including the socio-economic situation in 2016 and the implementation of measures of the Provincial People's Committee and the Government in price stabilization, market inspection and control; taking care of the poor during Tet, cultural and festival activities at the beginning of the year; market management measures, price stabilization before, during and after Tet; Dinh Dau Spring Newspaper Festival; production momentum at the beginning of the year; responding to Tet tree planting; traffic safety and legal security situation...

In January 2017, the Provincial People's Committee issued 6 documents directing the inspection and handling of information reported by the press. The Department of Information and Communications also received 6 documents from relevant units regarding the inspection and handling of 6 issues raised by the press.

Orientation in February 2017, focus on propaganda on implementing Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee in conjunction with Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; increase news and articles on Party building work at all levels; implementation of Directive 17-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strengthening administrative discipline in agencies and units in the province".

In addition, it is necessary to strongly publicize important events in February 2017; promptly reflect the production atmosphere at the beginning of the year, production and business activities after Tet; introduce and promote cultural and tourism potential, historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, festivals at the beginning of the year; protect sovereignty of seas and islands, etc.

At the conference, the opinions and contributions of representatives of press agencies focused on the issue of reflecting and propagating tourism activities and festivals at the beginning of the year, which still have many issues; the issue of advertising in the press; propaganda work on not setting off firecrackers during Tet; organizing the Spring Press Festival... In particular, the fact that some press agencies reflected on the situation of blue-plate cars participating in festivals in Nghe An province received much attention and discussion from delegates.

After answering the discussion opinions and concluding the conference, comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested press agencies to closely follow the propaganda directions in February, especially continuing to focus on promoting propaganda to implement the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, especially the Resolution of the 12th Central Committee, Session 4. Regarding the reflection of tourism and festival activities in the province, the press needs to reflect in a positive direction, avoiding one-sided reporting. However, the press also needs to contribute its voice to help agencies adjust and handle existing problems./.
