Earlier, Israel announced the world's first combat flight of the F-35. According to the statement from the country's military leadership, the aircraft were used on two fronts, but the specific campaign remains a secret.
If the Russian air defense missile system detected the fighter jet, it would have to pass this information on to the Syrian air defense forces to prevent the fighter jet from carrying out the mission declared by Israel, the newspaper noted. The article emphasizes that a similar situation could arise if Israel tries to use aircraft in Iran, which also have S-300 in its arsenal.
The newspaper noted that the main element of the stealth aircraft system is a radar with an active antenna array that not only allows for displaying the landscape and tracking targets, but also camouflages the aircraft, making it difficult for enemy radio-electronic equipment to detect it.
This month, in addition to Israel, Türkiye and Japan also announced their intention to buy F-35 fighter jets from the US. Ankara will receive the first fifth-generation fighter on June 21, and Tokyo also plans to complete the deployment of these new aircraft before the end of May.
