Over the years, the search and collection of martyrs' remains has always received the attention and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Steering Committee 515, the central ministries and branches, the Party committees, and local authorities at all levels. The regimes, policies, and guarantees for organizations and individuals performing the search and collection of martyrs' remains have been timely and fully ensured according to Decisions 35 and 75 of the Prime Minister.

In Nghe An alone, from 1984 to present, the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has searched and collected nearly 13,100 martyrs, of which more than 12,600 martyrs' remains were searched in Laos. In the dry season of 2023 - 2024 alone, up to May 15, 2024, the Collection Team of the Provincial Military Command has collected and searched for 87 remains of Vietnamese martyrs and experts who died in Laos. It is expected that from now until 2030, it will be necessary to search for about 500 - 700 martyrs' remains.
However, after a long time of implementing Decision 35 and Decision 75 of the Prime Minister, some problems have arisen from practice. At the conference, delegates who are members of the National Steering Committee 515 and the Steering Committees 515 of provinces and cities discussed, commented, and clarified the limitations in implementing Decision 35 and 75 of the Prime Minister, thereby proposing specific solutions and methods.
