Typhoon Megi level 14 near the East Sea

Typhoon Megi is active in the sea northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines), likely to enter the East Sea on September 27.

At 1:00 p.m. on September 25, Typhoon Megi was about 1,000 km southeast of Taiwan (China), with the strongest wind speed of 165 km/h (level 14). With a speed of 20-25 km/h in the west-northwest direction, by the afternoon of September 26, Megi was about 1,000 km southeast of Taiwan (China).Taiwan about 500 km southeast, strengthened to level 15.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on September 27, the storm was on Taiwan island and the wind intensity decreased to 135 km/h, equivalent to level 12.Storm circulation causes strong winds in the northeastern East Sea from the night of September 26.

If it enters the East Sea, Megi will be storm number 6.The meteorological agency said that this year, storms and tropical depressions in the East Sea appeared later and less than the average of many years. Of these, about 4-5 storms and tropical depressions directly affected the Vietnamese mainland.
