On the afternoon of September 30, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Official Dispatch No. 07, directing response to storms near the East Sea.

According to the bulletin of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 p.m. on September 30, 2024, the center of storm Krathon was located at about 20.4 degrees North latitude; 121.3 degrees East longitude, in the sea north of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 15 (167-183 km/h), gusting to level 17. Moving in the West Northwest direction, speed 10-15 km/h.

To proactively respond to the storm, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of coastal districts and towns; and relevant departments, agencies and branches to:

Closely monitor the storm's developments; strictly manage vessels going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of vessels and captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.
Dangerous areas in the next 24 hours: North of latitude 18.0; East of longitude 116.5 (dangerous areas are adjusted in forecast bulletins).
Ready forces and means for rescue when required.
The North Central Region Hydrometeorological Station closely monitors, forecasts, warns, and promptly informs about the storm's developments to proactively deploy response measures.
Units: Provincial Radio and Television Station, Nghe An Newspaper, Ben Thuy Coastal Information Station and mass media increase information and communication about the storm's developments to authorities at all levels, owners of vehicles operating at sea and people to know and proactively prevent and respond.

Departments, branches, sectors and localities, according to their functions and tasks, direct measures to be ready to respond when bad situations occur.
