Nghe An Newspaper won Third Prize of the National Press Award for the Cause of Vietnamese Education in 2024
On the morning of November 16, at the Hanoi Opera House, the National Press Awards Ceremony for the Cause of Vietnamese Education took place.
This is the 7th year the award has been held with the participation of many press agencies across the country. Attending the award ceremony were Mr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, Mr. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training, representatives of relevant ministries and branches.
National Press Award for Vietnam EducationOrganized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association, with the Education and Times Newspaper as the permanent unit.

The award aims to honor authors with many excellent press works on the cause of Education, on typical collectives and individuals with many contributions to the cause of Education. Thereby, promoting and honoring the contribution of the Education sector to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time attracting the attention of all levels, sectors and society to the cause of Education in Vietnam.
In 2024, the National Press Award for Vietnam Education received more than 800 entries in many types of journalism, of which the electronic press received the most entries. After many serious and impartial working sessions, the Jury selected 81 entries for the final round.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam - Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the award said: This year's National Press Award for Vietnam Education has vividly and multi-dimensionally reflected the picture of Vietnam's education. The works have shown profound insights into key issues of the industry, from innovation in teaching methods, application of technology in education, to touching stories about teachers in remote areas.
Many works of policy criticism and in-depth analysis reflect the main points of the education sector in the process of implementing fundamental and comprehensive innovation.
In addition, the works are exploratory and practical, addressing issues of regimes and policies for teachers, tuition fees, school revenues and expenditures; good people and good deeds; international cooperation in education; school safety; preserving ethnic languages; a group of topics on community support, ways to help disadvantaged students, and education for students with disabilities, etc.

A notable point is that this year the number of local press agencies with works participating in the print newspaper competition is more diverse, spanning from North to South, such as Lao Cai, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Ngai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspapers...
Through the works, the sense of responsibility and creativity of journalists in reflecting the challenges of the education sector in the new context has been demonstrated. Many works not only highlight the problems but also propose practical solutions, contributing to promoting the development of the country's education.

Over the past 7 years, the award has received more and more attention and participation from press agencies across the country. The success of the award also demonstrates the important role of the press in the development of education and training.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 59 best works of 4 categories, including 1 Special Prize, 4 First Prizes, 8 Second Prizes, 12 Third Prizes, 32 Encouragement Prizes and 2 Outstanding Characters.
