Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television won the 5th National Press Award for Anti-Waste and Negativity
On the evening of October 30, in Hanoi, the 5th National Press Awards Ceremony for Anti-Corruption, Waste and Negativity, 2024-2025, was held by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television.
Attending the award ceremony were Politburo members: Pham Minh Chinh - Prime Minister; Phan Dinh Trac - Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Also attending were Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President and leaders of Central Ministries, Departments and Branches.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister emphasized: The press works focused on timely and comprehensively reflecting the Party and State's fight against corruption, waste and negativity with the motto of perseverance, continuity, no forbidden areas, no exceptions.
In addition to works reflecting the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, reporters, journalists, and press agencies have expanded the content and topics reflecting on preventing and combating waste under the direction of General Secretary To Lam - Head of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.
Many works are of good quality, timely, highly investigative, demonstrating the commitment of journalists, their determination, courage, and the pressure and danger that follow corruption, waste, and negativity to the end.
From there, press works are created that have a ripple effect and a huge social impact, bringing about effectiveness and positive changes in the fight against corruption, waste and negativity. In addition, this year's award has featured works that reflect good people and good deeds in the fight against corruption, waste and negativity.
According to the assessment of the Final Jury, this year's award has the participation of many central and local press agencies. From 1,110 valid entries in 4 press categories from nearly 90 press agencies nationwide, the Preliminary Jury selected 91 outstanding works for the Final Jury.
With the spirit of democracy, objectivity, impartiality and high responsibility, the members of the Final Jury reviewed and unanimously selected 44 best works to award 04 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 12 C prizes and 18 Encouragement prizes. In which: The work "Reducing poverty or getting poorer" by the group of authors Huong Giang - Thanh Trung - Duc Thien - Thanh Nga, Nghe An Newspaper and PTTH won the Encouragement prize in the Television category.
In addition to reflecting on the topic of preventing corruption and negativity, press works also focus on propagating and reflecting on the practice of thrift and combating waste in the whole society, strongly criticizing and condemning wasteful acts; propagating the results of the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in both the State and non-State sectors.

Along with that, the works participating in the award continue to focus on deeply, boldly and prominently reflecting the determination of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, the involvement of functional agencies, the response and active participation of all classes of people in the fight against corruption, waste and negativity, which are closely followed by the people.
