Security guard at Nghe An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital was seriously injured by a patient's family member.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 30, a fight broke out at Nghe An Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital, leaving a security guard critically stabbed.

According to witnesses at the scene, at around 7:45 a.m., a fight broke out between a patient's family and security guards in the hospital parking lot.

After a while of arguing, the patient's family used a sharp knife to stab the guard multiple times in the chest and neck, causing the victim to collapse on the spot.

Immediately afterwards, medical staff performed first aid on the victim. The perpetrator was also subdued and arrested by hospital security.

It is known that the security guard's name is Lo Minh Huong (born in 1957), residing in Tuong Duong district, has been working as a security guard at the hospital for more than a year.

The victim was initially given emergency treatment at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and has now been transferred to the provincial General Friendship Hospital.

The incident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
