Arrested two brothers wanted for special danger, seized many guns and weapons
On June 15, Long Xuyen City Police (An Giang) announced that they had just coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province to arrest two subjects who were fleeing from the special dangerous wanted notice, including: Tran Hong Sang (born in 1994) and Le Hong Oai (Sang's real brother, born in 1992, both residing in Long Xuyen City).
According to the case file, on the afternoon of December 18, 2022, Sang and Oai robbed property at the "Tuan" pawn shop in My Thanh ward (Long Xuyen city) and then fled. After a period of investigation and verification, the Long Xuyen City Police Department issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Sang and Oai.
However, because Oai and Sang had fled the locality, on April 30, 2024, the Long Xuyen City Police Department issued a particularly dangerous wanted notice for Oai and Sang for the crime of "Robbery".
At about 4:30 p.m. on June 13, the working group of Long Xuyen City Police coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police to arrest Sang while he was hiding in Trung Hung hamlet, My Thoi ward, Long Xuyen City.
Immediately after that, Long Xuyen City Police coordinated with An Giang Province Police to search Sang's residence in Trung Hung hamlet, discovering and confiscating: 8 homemade knives, 1 pitchfork, 2 3-section sticks, 4 guns of various types, 1 plastic bag containing white crystals suspected to be drugs and many tools used for drug use.
At around 11pm the same day, the task force continued to arrest Oai while he was hiding in Vinh Trinh commune, Vinh Thanh district, Can Tho city.
