Arrested 4 'beauties' operating a lottery line with transactions of 1.2 billion VND/day

Thanh Hoa police have just dismantled a lottery betting ring with daily transactions of up to 1.2 billion VND run by 4 women.

On August 15, according to the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police, the unit has just dismantled a large-scale lottery gambling ring led by Tran Thi Ha (born in 1973, residing in Dien Bien Ward, Thanh Hoa City).

Searching Tran Thi Ha's residence, the police seized 350 million VND in cash, 9 mobile phones and many exhibits related to organizing gambling in the form of lottery.

Expanding the investigation, the police force arrested 3 more "henchmen" in Tran Thi Ha's gambling ring, including: Nguyen Thi Nga (born in 1983, residing in Dong Huong ward), Le Thu Trang (born in 1981, residing in Dien Bien ward) and Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc (born in 1994, residing in Tan Son ward, Thanh Hoa city).

According to the investigation, since August 2020, Tran Thi Ha has set up a large-scale gambling ring in the form of recording lottery numbers. This ring operates very sophisticatedly, such as letting the "henchmen" use smartphones, applying digital analysis software to collect number tables for gamblers via text messages on social networks Facebook or Zalo with amounts of money from 500-700 million/time.

With this trick, on average, every day Tran Thi Ha organized for gamblers to play lottery with a transaction amount of about 1.2 billion VND.

Thanh Hoa police are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
