Carelessly caused a house fire, 2 spouses suffered severe burns, damage of more than 300 million VND

((Baonghean.vn) – In Cat Van commune (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An), a fire just broke out, seriously injuring Mr. Gian Viet Hung and his wife, causing an estimated property damage of 350 million VND.

Mr. Bui Gia Hao - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cat Van Commune (Thanh Chuong) said that at around 2:00 am this morning (June 23, 2016), people in Hamlet 6A discovered a fire at the house of Mr. Gian Viet Hung (born in 1971) and Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh. The fire burned down part of the house and the entire cowshed of the family, causing Mr. Hung and his wife to be seriously injured, and he is currently being treated at Do Luong District General Hospital.

In addition, the fire also burned to death 3 cows and 2 sows. The total damage caused by the fire is estimated at over 300 million VND. Mr. Hung and Mrs. Thanh suffered severe burns.

After Mr. Hung's family had an accident, the local government and people in the neighborhood came to help in every way to overcome and reduce the damage.

The cause of the fire was initially determined to be due to the family's carelessness, the group burned straw in the evening, the fire smoldered and spread to the barn area, then to the house. This is a warning to farmers during the harvest season in hot weather.
