Kidnapping of children at Le Mao kindergarten: False information

On the morning of March 3, public opinion was abuzz with news that a 5-year-old girl was taken to Le Mao kindergarten by her parents but then went missing. Many people believed this was a case of child kidnapping.

Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporter, teacher Nguyen Thi Van - Vice Principal of Le Mao Kindergarten said that this information is false. The child mentioned is Luu Nguyen Anh Hoai (5 years old). On the morning of March 3, the child was brought to the kindergarten by his parents but has not been handed over to the teacher in charge.

At around 8am that same day, after morning physical education class, the teacher called the roll call and did not see the child so she called the family. Over the phone, the child's parents said that they had taken Anh Hoai to school this morning. As soon as the incident happened, the teachers at the school and the parents panicked and went looking for the child.

However, the child was not kidnapped as previously reported, but was playing alone under the stairs. The teacher and parents found the child only 15 minutes after discovering that he was missing.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Van said: "The school would like to once again recommend to parents that they must directly hand their children over to the teacher in charge so that she can control them, and not let them enter the classroom alone, leading to incidents like the one just happened"./.
