Previously, the police discovered that Vi Van Diep (born in 1977), residing in Hong Phong block, Kim Son town (Que Phong) had many signs of drug-related crimes. Diep is a serious drug addict, with 2 previous convictions for drugs.

On April 10, 2022, discovering that Diep had just bought a large quantity of drugs and was hiding them in his house, the Task Force decided to deploy an arrest plan. At around 1:30 p.m. the same day, the police force successfully controlled and arrested Vi Van Diep with evidence of 4,000 pink pills hidden in his private house in Hong Phong block, Kim Son town, Que Phong district.

At the police station, Diep confessed: The above drugs were purchased by Diep from some people in the border area and then brought back to sell for profit.
