Arrested subject who broke into ATM cash drawer, used weapon to attack security guard

Tan was using a tool to pry open the money drawer at the ATM when the bank security guard discovered him and turned around to attack him with a knife.

The incident happened at the ATM of Dong A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Ward 13, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.

The perpetrator, Tran Van Tan (born 1990, residing in District 4), is being detained by the District 4 Police Department to assist in further investigation.

According to initial information, at around 11pm on May 12, Lap used a screwdriver to break into the cash drawer of the Dong A Bank ATM on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street. This ATM is located right in front of the District 4 transaction office of Dong A Bank.

When Tan committed the act, the security guard of Dong A Bank - District 4 transaction office discovered it. At this time, Tan pulled out a knife and attacked the security guard.

Bank security used electric batons to defend themselves and neutralized and arrested Tan, confiscating his weapon.

The bank then transferred Tan to the local police for investigation and handling.
