Arrest of a subject barricading himself in a car, confiscation of 3 heroin cakes and many synthetic drugs

(Baonghean.vn) - Realizing that he was surrounded, the subject barricaded himself in the car in an attempt to resist, the reconnaissance team had to break the glass door, control and arrest Nguyen Van Toan. The seized evidence included 3 heroin cakes, 1kg of crystal meth, 250 synthetic drug pills, 02 pepper sprays and about 100 million VND in cash.

In June 2018, through professional work, Nghia Dan District Police discovered a drug trafficking ring from Que Phong District transporting drugs to Nghia Dan and Yen Thanh Districts and then sending them to southern provinces for consumption.

Through verification, Nguyen Van Toan (born in 1973), residing in Bao Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, emerged in this ring. Project 618Y was established by Nghia Dan district police in coordination with related units to fight and destroy it.

After collecting all the documents, the Task Force determined that Toan would go to Que Phong district to receive the drugs. In that situation, the Task Force developed a plan, and scouts were immediately deployed to monitor from the subject's house in Yen Thanh district to Tri Le commune, Que Phong district. During the process of monitoring the subject's movements, the subjects frequently changed their vehicles, clothes, and transaction locations in order to avoid the authorities.

On July 3, realizing that the opportunity was ripe, the main battleground was set up right at Heu market, Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan district. At 10 p.m. the same day, the task force discovered a white car with license plate 37A - 390.70 with Toan at Heu market, Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan district. Immediately, the reconnaissance teams used their vehicles to block the front and rear of the suspect car.

Realizing that he was surrounded, the subject barricaded himself in the car to resist, the reconnaissance team had to break the glass door, control and arrest Nguyen Van Toan. The seized evidence included 3 heroin cakes, 1kg of crystal meth, 250 synthetic drug pills, 02 pepper spray cans and about 100 million VND in cash.

At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that he often colluded with subjects in Que Phong district to illegally buy and sell drugs to make a profit. The task force is currently continuing to expand the investigation.
