Arrested the subject who murdered his colleague after 6 hours of investigation

On July 22, Colonel Pham Van Son, Deputy Director of Vinh Phuc Police, said that the Investigation Police Department and Vinh Phuc Police had just arrested and detained Do Cao Quy (born in 1981, residing in Nuong Ai village, Tien Lu commune, Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province) for murder.

Do Cao Quy was arrested urgently after a few hours of trial.

According to the initial verification documents of the investigation agency, at about 3:00 p.m. on July 20, Nguyen Phuong D. (born in 2012, in Xuan Dan village, Dong Ich commune, Lap Thach district) returned from playing at D.'s grandmother's house nearby and passed by Nguyen Van H.'s house (born in 1975, in the same Xuan Dan village).

Suddenly, D. discovered H. lying on the floor, with many cuts and blood on his body. Seeing that, D. was scared and cried out, running home to tell the adults.

The above information was immediately reported to the Dong Ich Commune Police, Lap Thach District. Due to the particularly serious nature of the case, upon receiving the information, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the authorities to organize an investigation of the scene and the body.

It is known that Mr. H. is a gentle person, has no conflicts, debts with anyone, and does not have complicated relationships. Every day, Mr. H. goes to work as a construction worker for Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, a construction contractor in the same village.

At the scene of the victim's death, the door of the house was open but there were no signs of forced entry, breaking, or ransacking. The deceased victim was lying on the floor of the right room from the outside in, with 16 slashes on his head, face, and neck, measuring 7cm x 1.5cm deep, close to the bone, some slashes reaching deep into the brain tissue.

Through verification, searching, and searching for clues, the detectives discovered that Mr. H's family had lost a banana knife, which was often used by people and left on the kitchen porch.

According to Colonel Ha Van Chi, Head of the Criminal Police Department, Vinh Phuc Provincial Police, given the particularly serious nature of the case, the force participating in solving the case organized a perimeter and determined to find the perpetrator as quickly as possible, to avoid the perpetrator having time to escape and destroy evidence.

Finally, after only nearly 6 hours (from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. the same day) of investigating, verifying, and screening suspects, the investigation force identified Do Cao Quy (born in 1981, residing in Nuong Ai village, Tien Lu commune, Lap Thach district) as the suspect.

At 10 p.m. the same day, Do Cao Quy was summoned to the investigation agency. At the police station, after a while of debating, with the evidence collected by the investigation agency, Quy confessed to the crime.

Initially, the subject confessed that on the same day, Quy, along with the victim and 5 other people, went to work on a construction project at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Binh D. (in Hoang Chung village, Dong Ich commune). At around 11:30 a.m. that same day, everyone stopped working and drank alcohol together.

At 1 p.m., Quy rode his motorbike to the house of the construction manager Hung to ask for an advance on his salary, but he was not home. Quy went to Mr. H.'s house with the intention of finding and beating the victim up for always "lecturing" him, scolding him, and ordering him around at work.

When entering the victim's house, Quy saw the door open, and Mr. H. was sleeping on the floor. In a moment of confusion, the subject grabbed the banana knife left in the victim's kitchen and went to where Mr. H. was sleeping, slashing him many times on the head and face, causing the victim to die on the spot.

After committing the crime, Quy hid the knife and brought it to his brother Do Cao Quang's house (who lived near Quy's house). At the same time, he told him that he had hacked the victim to death and asked him to hide the knife. Quang then buried the knife in his garden.

To avoid being detected by the police, Quy changed his clothes and continued to return to Mr. H's house with everyone to consider resolving the victim's death, showing that he was not involved, in order to mislead the investigation agency. However, Do Cao Quy did not expect that just a few hours after committing the crime, the subject would be arrested.
