Arrest of the subject who stabbed his opponent 6 times and then escaped to the South
(Baonghean.vn)- From the motorbike seat, Hoang jumped down, slashed his opponent with a knife and then escaped. After 10 years, Hoang had to be handcuffed and returned to face justice.
Slashing people because of conflicts
Reviewing the case file, it was found that Pham Van Hoang (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 4, Linh Son Commune, Anh Son) and Dang Ngoc Minh (born in 1982, residing in Hamlet 5, Linh Son Commune) had a conflict with each other. The conflict between the two young men in the village kept smoldering and there was no way to "cool it down".
On the evening of May 28, 2006, Dang Ngoc Minh and two friends went to the end of the village to enjoy the cool breeze. From afar, a motorbike sped up and stopped in front of the group. The driver turned on the high beams and shone them straight into Minh's face. Before Minh could understand what was happening, Pham Van Hoang, who was sitting behind the motorbike, jumped down and slashed him with a knife. Blinded by the high beams, Minh was unable to fight back and received six slashes from Hoang. He was seriously injured and fell unconscious.

After committing the crime, Pham Van Hoang jumped on a motorbike and fled. Dang Ngoc Minh was taken to the emergency room for treatment. The results of the injury assessment showed that the victim Minh suffered 35.8% health damage at the time of assessment. The Anh Son District Police Investigation Agency initiated an investigation into the case, but Pham Van Hoang had disappeared from the area. His family did not know where Hoang went.
Given the complexity of the case, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police requested that the case file be transferred to the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of the Provincial Police for further investigation and clarification. The arrest warrant for Pham Van Hoang was issued nationwide.
Drifted to the South, joined gangs specializing in debt collection
After committing the crime, Pham Van Hoang fled to the Central Highlands provinces, changing his identity. Every time the wanted forces found his hiding place, Hoang had already disappeared without a trace. Undaunted, the reconnaissance teams continued to quietly search for the whereabouts of this ruthless killer.
In early 2015, intelligence information showed that Pham Van Hoang had fled to Ho Chi Minh City, got married and had children. Here, he worked as a hired driver running routes between Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai. “Because he worked as a driver, he had no permanent residence. On the other hand, intelligence documents showed that in addition to being a driver, Pham Van Hoang also participated in gangs specializing in debt collection and protection in Ho Chi Minh City.
In mid-2015, the wanted force "set a net" to capture Hoang while he was driving, but with recklessness, he swerved into the crowded traffic and disappeared," said Captain Phan Minh Loc - captain of the arrest team No. 4, PC52.
After that near-arrest, Pham Van Hoang became more vigilant. He constantly changed his residence, making it difficult for the reconnaissance force to verify and arrest him. Nearly a year later, thinking the situation seemed “calm”, he took his wife and children to a motel in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.
He was often away from home, leaving only his wife and children in the rented room. When the whereabouts of Hoang's wife and children were determined, the reconnaissance team assigned a force to monitor the house 24/7.
As expected, on the occasion of Children's Day, June 1st, Pham Van Hoang sneaked home to visit his wife and children. Although he was extremely cunning and disguised himself as someone else, he could not fool the detectives.
When his wife opened the door, he slipped in and disappeared behind the door. The house remained silent until late afternoon. The detectives kept a close watch. At around 5:30, Hoang's wife opened the door and took her basket to the market. The opportunity to solve the case had come, and the task force decided to attack.
As soon as the door opened, the detectives and local government representatives appeared, requesting an administrative check. As if he had guessed who these visitors were, Pham Van Hoang's face turned pale. Not daring to act rashly, afraid of disturbing his son, Hoang obediently followed the detectives out, bowed his head and put his hands in handcuffs.
On the morning of June 13, the PC52 arrest team successfully transferred Pham Van Hoang to headquarters, completed the file, and handed over the subject to the Nghe An Police Department of Social Order Crime Investigation for investigation according to authority.
