Knife attack at Chinese university, 8 dead, 17 injured
A knife attack at the Wuxi Institute of Arts and Technology in eastern China has left at least eight people dead and 17 others injured.
According to CNN, on the evening of November 16, a knife attack occurred at the Wuxi Academy of Arts and Technology in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, Eastern China. The suspect is a 21-year-old man, who has been arrested by the police.
"The knife attack occurred at 6 p.m. at the Wuxi Institute of Arts and Technology, killing at least eight people and injuring 17 others. The suspect, a former student of the school, has confessed. Authorities are dealing with the aftermath and expanding the investigation into the incident," said a statement from local police.

Preliminary reports revealed that the suspect was frustrated with failing his exams, not receiving his diploma, and was unhappy with the low salary of his internship. He then decided to return to his old school to carry out the knife attack.
The use of violence to “take revenge on society” is becoming a serious problem in China. A few days ago, a man drove his car into a crowd outside a stadium in Zhuhai, killing at least 35 people. His motive is believed to be dissatisfaction with the division of assets after a divorce.
About a month ago, another stabbing incident occurred at a supermarket in Shanghai, killing 3 people and injuring 15 others.
