Arrested director and accomplice for shooting at opponent

Nguyen Van Thang, owner of a private business, and his accomplice directly chased and shot and injured their opponent and were prosecuted for murder.

Nguyen Van Thang's crime vehicle was temporarily detained by Hai Duong police.

On June 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Province Police issued an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Hong Dung and Nguyen Van Thang (both residing in Kinh Mon District, Hai Duong) to investigate the act of murder.

Investigation records show that due to a conflict before the evening of June 6, Nguyen Van Manh's group (30 years old, nicknamed Mau Seu) clashed with Nguyen Van Thang and Nguyen Hong Dung's group at the Focus karaoke bar in Hiep Son commune (Kinh Mon).

The fight left two young men in Manh's group seriously injured. After being taken to Kinh Mon District Hospital by their accomplices, the two young men were transferred to Hai Duong Provincial Hospital for treatment.

On the way, Manh's group sent two cars to escort them, including a Toyota Fortuner with license plate 34A-05971 and a pickup truck with license plate 34C-11916 driven by Manh himself, carrying Pham Thanh Tuan (35 years old) and another person.

The two cars had just left the hospital and reached Tay Son intersection when they were chased by their opponents. Nguyen Van Thang was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck with license plate 34C-13016, while Nguyen Hong Dung sat next to the driver's seat holding a gun.

The chase was like an action movie for more than 2 km, Manh's group was blocked by Thang's car at the intersection of Provincial Road 388 (Hiep An Commune, Kinh Mon). Dung raised his gun and aimed it at Manh and pulled the trigger. The bullet broke a corner of the windshield, Manh ducked to avoid death by a hair's breadth. The bullet went straight into Tuan, who was sitting in the back seat. Manh abandoned the car and ran away into the night.

Nguyen Van Thang is the owner of a private business based in Phu Thu town (Kinh Mon district). The pickup truck Thang was driving is registered under Quyet Thang LLC, and was purchased in 2015.
