250 kg of smelly pig organs seized

On June 7, Team 5 of the Hanoi City Traffic Police Department said it had drawn up a record and handed over all of the above organs to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development inspectors for destruction.

Authorities inspected the smelly pig intestines.

Previously, at 1:30 p.m. on June 6, the joint force including Team 5 of the Environmental Police Department (PC 49) and Team 5 of the Traffic Police Department (PC 67) of Hanoi City Police in coordination with the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development inspectorate discovered and caught red-handed at km 157 of National Highway 1B, from Hanoi to Bac Ninh, car with license plate 98C-051.33, owned by Nguyen Van Nguyen (born in 1987) and Giap Van Bo (born in 1986, both from Bac Giang), as the assistant, in the act of transporting 250 kg of pig organs that were emitting a foul smell.

All of the above goods had no quarantine documents or origin, were iced and contained in 3 plastic drums of 200 liters each.

The driver and the assistant driver confessed that they had been contacted by a man named Thien in Nhu Quynh town, Hung Yen via mobile phone to transport the above goods from Nhu Quynh town to Pho Moi area, Bac Ninh to deliver to the consumer. The transportation fee was 700,000 VND.

This amount of pig intestines is iced and stored in plastic drums.

During the transportation process, the driver was told by Mr. Thien to contact and inform Mr. Thien of the location when arriving at Pho Moi so that he could send someone to receive the goods.

The driver confessed that about 10 days ago, he also transported about 100 kg of organs for Mr. Thien to Pho Moi, Bac Ninh and delivered them to a woman to receive.

All of the above organs have been handed over to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Inspectorate for handling violations and destroying them according to regulations.
