Arrest of a man transporting 3kg of crystal meth from Laos to Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Ngan Van Dai admitted that he was a hired transporter for a Lao man to bring 3 kg of crystal meth from the Vietnam-Laos border to Nghi Loc district for 15 million VND.

On the afternoon of April 30, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police said that the unit in charge coordinated with Dien Chau District Police, Drug Crime Prevention Task Force No. 2 under the Coast Guard Command, and the Drug Prevention and Control Team of Nghe An Customs Department to successfully break the case and arrest Ngan Van Dai (born in 1975), residing in Noong village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, for the act of illegally transporting drugs.
Previously, from the beginning of February 2020, through the work of grasping the situation and applying professional measures, Nghi Loc District Police discovered a ring of illegal buying and selling and transporting large quantities of crystal meth from Laos into Nghi Loc District and the southern provinces for consumption. Nghi Loc District Police leaders established a special project to combat it.

During the investigation, the investigation team identified Ngan Van Dai as the main link in the drug trafficking ring from Laos through the western districts of Nghe An to the district and southern provinces for consumption under the direction of Laotian subjects. For each successful trip, Dai was paid 15 to 30 million VND by the Laotian "bosses", depending on the quantity of goods. From then on, all of Dai's movements were under the surveillance of Nghi Loc District Police detectives.
With sufficient evidence, at 8:00 a.m. on April 28, the Task Force decided to crack the case. At Yen Ly intersection, Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district, the authorities arrested Ngan Van Dai, seized 3 kg of crystal meth, 1 mobile phone and other evidence related to the case.
At the investigation agency, Ngan Van Dai initially confessed that a Lao man hired him to transport the drugs from the Laos-Vietnam border area to Nghi Loc district for a fee of 15 million VND.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by Nghi Loc District Police.
