Arrest of suspect who murdered female student and hid in styrofoam box
Regarding the murder of female student Nguyen Thi Thu Hang (born 2002, residing in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City), then hiding her body in a Styrofoam box, the police have arrested the suspect, Nguyen Pham Quoc Binh (born 2001, residing in Go Vap District), a classmate of the victim.
Initially, at the investigation agency, Binh confessed that at around 8:30 p.m. on January 12, Binh invited Hang to the Ha Do apartment building to play and there the two had a conflict. Binh killed Hang and took away her phone, then tied up the body and put it in a styrofoam box, leaving it in a place where few people would notice on the 5th floor of the apartment building.
On the afternoon of January 13, Binh returned to the apartment building, hired a tricycle driver to transport the styrofoam box containing the body from the 5th floor down and was discovered by security.
The initial cause of the incident was determined to be "murder for robbery," confirmed Colonel Tra Van Lao, Chief of Go Vap District Police.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. on January 13, security guards at Ha Do apartment building (Nguyen Van Cong street, Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City) discovered two young men transporting a large styrofoam box out of the apartment building.
Suspecting that these two people were stealing, the apartment security stopped them to check. At this time, they opened the styrofoam box and discovered inside was a female body in the process of decomposition, so they reported it to the authorities.
Immediately afterwards, Go Vap District Police in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police Department arrived at the scene to conduct an autopsy and investigate the case. Using professional measures, the Police quickly identified, investigated and arrested Binh.
Currently, the professional departments of Ho Chi Minh City Police are coordinating with Go Vap District Police to expand the investigation.
