Arrested a group of young men who smashed windows of many cars to steal property
When arrested, the group confessed that from the end of May until now, they had committed 16 cases of breaking car windows to commit property theft.
Vo Cuong Ward Police (Bac Ninh) said that the unit has just arrested 5 subjects: Ly Seo Phai and Sung Quang Vinh (both born in 2008, residing in Lenh Sui Thang village, Lung Phinh commune), Sung Seo Hong (born in 2009, residing in Seo Can Ho village, Si Ma Cai commune), Ma Hoang Phuc (born in 2009, residing in Nang Cang residential area, Si Ma Cai commune) and Thao Thien Pao (Pao em, born in 2011, residing in Gia Khau residential area, Si Ma Cai commune, Lao Cai). These people rented a room in Giang Lieu quarter, Phuong Lieu ward (Bac Ninh). The group of young people were arrested to investigate the acts of theft and property destruction.
Accordingly, on July 6, Vo Cuong Ward Police caught Ly Seo Phai red-handed while traveling in Vo Cuong Ward looking for cars with property on them to break the windows and steal the property.
During an on-site inspection, the police discovered that Phai was carrying 1 iron pliers, 1 12mm wrench, 1 motorcycle key and 1 flashlight. Vo Cuong ward police took Phai to the headquarters for questioning.
During the extended investigation, Vo Cuong Ward Police summoned and clarified 4 other subjects in the group including: Sung Seo Hong, Thao Thien Pao, Sung Quang Vinh and Ma Hoang Phuc.
In addition, the police also clarified 3 subjects who are currently absent from the locality, including Hang Seo Senh (born in 2007, residing in Seng Sui village, Lung Phinh commune, Lao Cai province), Thao Thien Pao, born in 2006 (Pao anh), in Si Ma Cai commune, Lao Cai province and Phu (born in 2009 in Quan Than San commune, Si Ma Cai, Lao Cai).
Also on July 6, Vo Cuong Ward Police (Bac Ninh) received a report from Nguyen Thang Huan in Hai Phong about his car window being broken and 45 million VND stolen, and Do Thi Quy in Bac Ninh also lost 7 million VND while leaving it in her car.
At the police station, the group confessed that they had gathered to rent a room in Phuong Lieu ward (Bac Ninh) since the end of May 2025. The group discussed and agreed on stealing property, such as initially opening the doors of cars that were left unlocked, then breaking the windows of the cars.
The investigation process expanded to clarify 14 other cases in wards such as Kinh Bac, Vu Ninh, Nam Son, and Hap Linh (Bac Ninh).
The subjects also confessed that taking advantage of the night, when the population was deserted, and many people had the habit of leaving their cars outside without anyone watching, the subjects went looking for people's cars, broke the car windows, and stole the property inside.
After stealing property, these people went around many neighborhoods and then returned to the motel to divide the money and stolen goods.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified by Vo Cuong Ward Police in coordination with PC01 (Bac Ninh Police).
