Arrest of female acid thrower, wanted for nearly 24 years
After throwing acid on Mr. Pham Van Sau, Dang Thi Dam escaped and went to Bien Hoa to live and start a family. It took 24 years for the police to capture this female monster.

The Investigation Police Agency of Long Ho District Police, Vinh Long Province, said it had just arrested Dang Thi Dam (born 1957, An Binh Commune, Long Ho District), who had been wanted for nearly 24 years for intentionally causing injury.

Through investigation, at around 6:00 a.m. on June 14, 1993, due to jealousy, Dam used a can of acid to throw on Mr. Pham Van Sau (born in 1961) in the same locality. Mr. Sau was taken to the hospital by his family with a disability rate of 97%.
After committing the crime, Dam fled the area. Long Ho district police issued a wanted notice for Dam.
Dam confessed that after fleeing the area, she went to Trang Dai ward (Bien Hoa city - Dong Nai). There, Dam made a fake ID card and got married, living as a housewife until the day she was arrested.
