Truck carrying 'illegal' consumer electronics seized
(Baonghean.vn) - The Traffic Police Team of Yen Thanh District Police has just discovered and detained a truck transporting a shipment of consumer electronics without documents proving their origin.
At around 8:30 a.m. on August 20, while patrolling traffic through Block 3, Yen Thanh Town, Yen Thanh District, the Traffic Police Team, Yen Thanh District Police discovered a truck with license plate 37C - 192.19 driven by Nguyen Tat Viet (born in 1993), residing in Hamlet 8, Tan Son Commune, Do Luong District, showing many suspicious signs.

Upon inspection, the task force discovered that the truck was carrying a shipment of consumer electronics, including: 820 plastic-cased handheld flashlights using LED bulbs; 900 plastic-cased flashlights with straps; 850 energy-saving LED bulbs (with invoices, manufactured abroad).
The remaining items include 430 mosquito rackets; 112 12v electric fans; 90 desk lamps; 178 Feipeng curtain fans (without invoices or documents to prove origin). The total value of the shipment is estimated at over 135 million VND.
During the working process with the working group, the driver initially presented some invoices proving the origin of the shipment. However, through actual inspection, there were many products on the vehicle without invoices or proof of origin.
The working group made a record of the incident regarding the above shipment, then handed it over to Market Management Team No. 1 for handling according to the provisions of law.
