Arrested the man who dug a tunnel and buried more than 100 kg of explosives

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 3, the Environmental Police Department, Provincial Police coordinated with PA92 and Quy Hop Police to arrest a subject who dug a 'tunnel' to illegally store explosives.

After a period of monitoring, PC49 Department, Nghe An Police discovered a ring of explosives trading in large quantities in quarries in Quy Hop district. The subjects in the ring operated sophisticatedly, secretly digging a tunnel, then putting explosives in and covering the tunnel lid with soil and rocks.

At around 12:15 p.m. on August 3, PC49 Department coordinated with the above forces to arrest Nguyen Nhan Truong (born in 1989, residing in Hamlet 9, Hong Long Commune, Nam Dan District) for illegally storing explosives.

The police asked Truong to dig gravel and rocks to excavate a secret tunnel containing explosives in Chau Dinh commune (Quy Hop district). The seized evidence included 100 kg of explosives, 40 meters of slow-burning wire, and 27 electric detonators.

Truong is currently being detained for investigation. The authorities are continuing to expand the investigation into the above case.
