Arrested game addict who murdered an elderly couple

At around 6:30 a.m. on October 7, Ha Trung District Police received a report that two corpses, Mr. Tong Duy Nghien, born in 1950, and his wife, Mrs. Cu Thi Kien, born in 1953, in Da Son village, Ha Bac commune, were found in the front yard of their house with many stab wounds on their bodies and signs of ransacked property.
Immediately after receiving the news, Ha Trung District Police reported to the Director and Head of the Provincial Police Department of Investigation to direct professional units to concentrate forces, conduct crime scene investigation, autopsy and organize investigation activities to clarify the case.

At the police station, Vu Tien Long initially confessed: Because he was addicted to games and needed money to spend, Long stayed at an abandoned house near Mr. Nghiem and Ms. Kien's house, waiting for an opportunity to break in and steal.
At around 4:00 a.m. on October 7, Vu Tien Long brought a switchblade from an abandoned house about 15 meters away from the two victims' house, then climbed over the fence and broke into the kitchen to search for valuables to steal.

Hearing the dog barking, Mr. Nghien and Mrs. Kien ran out of the house to the yard and caught Long running away, so they arrested him; Long used a switchblade to stab Mr. Nghien and Mrs. Kien many times, causing both of them to collapse and die right in the yard.
After that, Long entered the houses of the two victims and took away two cell phones, then returned to the abandoned house to hide the murder weapon and went to Ha Trung town to continue playing games as if nothing had happened.
