Arrested a group of people "famous" on social networks for carrying weapons and chasing each other at night
On social networking sites, videos were posted and shared recording the scene of two groups of minors riding motorbikes without license plates carrying weapons (knives, swords) chasing and fighting each other late at night.
On September 15, 2025, Truong Vinh Ward Police, Nghe An Province said that they had verified and clarified the group of subjects involved in the incident with signs of "Disturbing public order" and“Intentionally causing injury”occurred on the night of September 12, early morning of September 13, 2025 at Handico Vinh Tan urban area.
Accordingly, on September 12, 2025, through the work of grasping the situation, Truong Vinh Ward Police discovered a group of subjects who had committed acts of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injuries at Handico Vinh Tan Urban Area (in Truong Vinh Ward). At the same time, on social networking sites, videos were posted and shared recording the scene of 2 groups of subjects riding motorbikes without license plates carrying weapons (knives, swords) chasing and fighting each other.
Truong Vinh Ward Police quickly mobilized maximum force and coordinated with the Provincial Police Investigation Office and the Command Information Center of the Staff Department to verify and investigate.
Through the recorded images, after chasing and fighting, the subjects drove away from the scene on motorbike. The incident happened at night, the image from the camera is not clear, the subjects had removed the license plate so it was impossible to identify, making the investigation difficult.
Truong Vinh Ward Police deployed synchronous professional measures, only 8 hours after the incident, identified the group of related subjects, residing in many different areas of Vinh City (old). Summoned 14 related subjects (aged 15-17) to the Ward Police headquarters to fight and clarify. The seized exhibits were 7 motorbikes, 2 sharp swords made of metal and some other related exhibits.
Through investigation, Truong Vinh Ward Police identified two leaders of two groups of teenagers calling themselves "Group 24" and "Group 651" on social networks, including: Nguyen Dau H. (born 2009), residing in Block 9 Quan Bau, Vinh Hung Ward, Nghe An Province and Vu Minh H. (born 2008), residing in Block Yen Giang, Vinh Hung Ward, Nghe An Province.
Currently, Truong Vinh Ward Police are completing the documents to handle according to the provisions of law.
