Arresting the "female monster" in the ring trafficking hundreds of heroin cakes
After escaping the police, Ly tried every way to escape to China through the Ban Gioc waterfall border area.
On July 10, Cao Bang Provincial Police said that through inspection and control of the area near the Vietnam-China border (in Ban Gioc, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang), the authorities discovered Phuong Thi Ly (born in 1997, residing in Trung Khanh, Cao Bang) trying to cross the border.

Phuong Thi Ly participated in a transnational heroin trafficking ring and is currently a particularly dangerous wanted subject of the Ministry of Public Security.
This “female monster” was an important link in the trafficking and transportation chain of 288 heroin cakes (total weight over 100 kg, worth about 57 billion VND) from Son La, through Cao Bang and then sold to China. At that time, the police force discovered and arrested 5 subjects on the night of February 23 at km 14 of National Highway 3 (in Bach Dang commune, Hoa An district, Cao Bang province). When the case was exposed, Thi Ly “flew far away” to find a way to hide abroad.
