Caught two young men buying 2.5 tons of firecrackers by waterway
(Baonghean.vn) - Two young men bought fireworks from a Chinese man, then hid them on a ship to transport them to Hon La port, Quang Binh province. Thong rented a 7-seat car to the port to transport Vo and all the fireworks to Nghe An to sell for profit, but was arrested.
The two subjects above are Nguyen Duc Thong (born in 1994), residing in Thanh Chuong district and Hoang Vo (born in 1989), residing in Dien Chau district, who hid 112 boxes of 35-round firecrackers and 05 firecracker cakes in the back seat of a 7-seat car with license plate 37A - 403.82 traveling from Vinh City - Hanoi.

At the investigation agency, the two subjects confessed: On November 20, 2019, they bought the above fireworks for 10 million VND from a Chinese person, then hid them on a ship to transport them to Hon La port, Quang Binh province. After that, Hoang Vo stayed to watch the goods, while Nguyen Duc Thong went to Vinh city to rent a 7-seat car to Hon La port to transport Hoang Vo and all the above fireworks to Nghe An to sell for profit.
At 11:30 p.m. on November 26, 2019, on the way to Nghe An, passing through Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An), the patrol team of Dien Chau Traffic Police Station under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered and caught red-handed 02 subjects illegally transporting firecrackers.
The case has been transferred to Dien Chau District Police (Nghe An) for further investigation and clarification.
