A young man was driving at high speed on the road carrying a safe when he was asked to stop for inspection by a special criminal police officer of Thu Duc District Police.

Thu Duc District Police are temporarily detaining Nguyen Van Thanh (26 years old, from Nghe An). Thanh's accomplice Tuan (unknown background) is also being sought to assist in the investigation of property theft.

Previously, at noon on June 7, during a patrol, the Thu Duc District Police Special Crime Prevention Force discovered two young men driving an Exciter motorbike carrying a safe with many suspicious signs at the intersection of Hoang Dieu 2 - Kha Van Can (Linh Chieu Ward, Thu Duc District).

The patrol team forced the two young men to stop for inspection, but they sped away. After chasing them for about 2 km, the patrol team controlled and arrested the young man sitting behind, Thanh, while Tuan ran into a residential area to escape. The safe was also temporarily seized.

At the investigation agency, Thanh confessed that he and Tuan had just broken into Mr. Binh's house on Street 9 (Truong Tho Ward, Thu Duc District) to steal a safe and were on the run.

After completing the procedure, the police returned the property to the victim.
