Arrested case of transporting more than 600kg of illegal organs

(Baonghean.vn)- On the afternoon of October 15, Market Management Team No. 1 seized a case of transporting 612kg of animal organs believed to have originated from China.

Two large sacks were dumped by a passenger bus near National Highway 1A.

Upon receiving information from the people, Market Management Team No. 1 (located in Dien Chau district) discovered 2 large sacks dumped by a passenger bus near National Highway 1A, passing through Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district. Upon inspection, they found 612kg of animal viscera (beef tripe) inside, which smelled foul and were being transported to Dien Thinh commune for consumption. The driver of the vehicle transporting the viscera fled.

The internal organs were handed over to Dien Chau District Veterinary Station for destruction.

Market Management Team No. 1 has drawn up a record of handing over the above organs to the Dien Chau District Veterinary Station for destruction in accordance with the law./.
