Bus carrying thousands of smuggled electronic components caught

On June 29, Major Tang Van Long - Captain of the Mobile Traffic Police Team, Yen Thanh District Police, said that he had just caught a car carrying a shipment of phone components of unknown origin.

Accordingly, on the evening of June 28, the Team coordinated with the Market Management Team of Yen Thanh district to detect a car with license plate 37A - 120.99 moving in the direction of Phuc Thanh commune - Yen Thanh town with many unusual signs, so they signaled to stop the car for inspection.

Here, the working group discovered that the vehicle was carrying a number of electronic goods, including 1,000 phone screen protectors; 100 headphones; 100 phone chargers; 400 phone screens; and 74 iPhone batteries.

However, at the time of inspection, the driver could not present any documents proving the origin of the goods. Therefore, the task force made a record of the confiscation of the goods and asked the driver to return to headquarters for clarification.

At the headquarters, the driver gave his name as Le Van Dung (born in 1982), residing in Hamlet 3, Hoa Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District. Accordingly, Dung went to Vinh City to get the above goods, then returned to sell them to agents to make a profit.

Currently, the Traffic Police Team of Yen Thanh district is completing the documents and handing over the goods to the Market Management Team of Yen Thanh district for handling according to the provisions of law./.
