Bau Duc will be able to recall Cong Phuong if Coach Park chooses CP10 to attend SEA Games.
The HAGL boss is confident he can intervene with Incheon United to bring Cong Phuong back if he is summoned by coach Park Hang-seo.
"In the contract to loan Cong Phuong to Incheon United, there is no clause allowing him to return to attend the 2019 SEA Games. However, if Cong Phuong is called, I will handle it simply," Mr. Duc shared withVnExpress"HAGL has a close relationship with Incheon United. Coach Park Hang-seo is also respected by this club, so I think everything will not be difficult. We will use our feelings to solve the problem because attending the SEA Games is a great honor for any player."

The SEA Games organizing committee recently announced that each men's football team (U22 group) can add two players over 22 years old. That means players like Cong Phuong, Xuan Truong, Duy Manh, Que Ngoc Hai, Dang Van Lam... can be called up by coach Park Hang-seo. "Who is called up is the head coach's business, I don't want to say anything here. The important thing is that the overage players must show good form from now until the end of the year - when the SEA Games takes place in the Philippines," said Mr. Duc.
The men's football event of the 30th SEA Games took place from the end of November 2019. That was also the fierce period of the K-League. Incheon United did not start the season well, winning one, drawing one and losing one. In the last two rounds, Cong Phuong entered the field in the second half but did not leave much of an impression.
"In a new environment, the kids have to slowly adapt. No one shines immediately when they first arrive at a new team," Mr. Duc analyzed. "In the last match, I watched Cong Phuong play on TV, and the most regrettable thing was that Cong Phuong's assist was not taken advantage of by his teammates. Otherwise, I don't know what would have happened."
