2-month-old baby girl abandoned at crossroads

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Van Tu - Chairman of Thanh Huong Commune People's Committee (Thanh Chuong) said that on the night of September 6, a baby was abandoned in the commune and was taken to the medical station for care by the authorities.

At around 7pm on September 6, a woman named Dang in Hamlet 7 was passing by this road when she saw a car stop near the hamlet intersection. When the car left, Ms. Dang discovered a baby left there along with a basket of clothes, milk and a letter. Ms. Dang asked everyone to bring the baby into her house. The incident was then reported to the Thanh Huong Commune People's Committee.

Upon receiving the news, Thanh Huong commune mobilized forces, police, women... to go to the scene to make a record and take the child to the commune health station for care.

The abandoned baby was a girl, weighing 4.8 kg, about 2-3 months old. In the letter left with the baby, it was said that the mother was far away and could not raise the baby due to financial circumstances, so she wanted someone to help raise the baby and promised not to come back to look for the baby.

The baby is being cared for and monitored at Thanh Huong commune health station. Currently, many people have come to adopt the baby./.
