Closing Ceremony of the 24th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament
(Baonghean.vn) - After a week of exciting competition, this afternoon (June 16), the Closing Ceremony of the 24th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children's Football Tournament, 2022 took place.
Attending the Closing Ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Commission; Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
On the side of the Organizing Committee, there were comrades: Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee; Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee; Nguyen Van Khoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Nguyen Dinh Nghia - Deputy General Director of Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee; sponsors; representatives of Song Lam Nghe An Football Club; journalists, reporters of central and local news agencies and newspapers; officials, people and players participating in the tournament.
Youth - Children Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cupis an annual tournament within the province's annual competition program organized by Nghe An Newspaper, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Education and Training and Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company.

This year's tournament attracted 464 athletes, including teenagers and children from 28 teams from 21 districts, cities and towns. This year's tournament featured 52 matches, including 37 matches for children and 15 matches for teenagers, with a total of 253 goals scored, including 183 goals for children and 70 goals for teenagers.

The communication work about the tournament was carried out in a systematic, timely and professional manner on many platforms. Nghe An Newspaper broadcasted live 27 football matches in both age groups along with more than 150 news, articles, photo series, video clips about the matches as well as interesting stories on the sidelines of the field on Nghe An Newspaper publications, attracting more than 1 million views, accesses and visits on the platforms.
Besides the intense matches, the young players who participated in the tournament also had a very meaningful summer with sideline experiences such as interacting with famous Vietnamese coaches and football stars; watching the training sessions of the first team of Song Lam Nghe An Club and immersing themselves in the exciting atmosphere of the Four-Hero Tournament at Vinh Stadium. In addition, many teams organized trips for the children to visit historical sites in Vinh city and surrounding areas.
At the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 126 gifts to players who achieved the title of "Good student, good soccer player"; 20 gifts to children of SOS Children's Village Vinh. The Provincial People's Committee also donated 100 million VND to buy 464 school bags and competition uniforms for the players.
Among the 464 children participating in the tournament, there are 20 children from poor or near-poor households who always strive to overcome their circumstances and difficulties to pursue their passion for football.
To encourage and accompany the children, the Organizing Committee coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to present 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to encourage the children to continue to strive, excel in their studies, and constantly make efforts to practice.

At the Closing Ceremony, in addition to awarding the championship title to the Tan Ky Children's Team, the Organizing Committee also awarded the "Best Player" award to player Pham Van Anh (wearing shirt number 7) of the Tan Ky Children's Team; the best goalkeeper went to Pham Gia Bao (wearing shirt number 1), Tan Ky Children's Team. The top scorer of the Children's age group went to Nguyen Sinh Loi (number 3) of the Dien Chau Children's Team with 10 goals.

In the youth age group, in addition to the excellent Do Luong team winning the championship, the Organizing Committee also awarded the "Best Player" prize to Nguyen Xuan Nhat (wearing shirt number 9) of the Do Luong Youth Team; awarded the "Best Goalkeeper" prize to Vo Hong Quan (wearing shirt number 1) of the Do Luong Youth Team, who only conceded 5 goals. The top scorer of the youth age group belonged to Ho Phuc An (wearing shirt number 8) of the Hoang Mai Town Team with 6 goals.
