The first prize went to Ho Chi Minh City; the second prize went to Hanoi and the third prize went to Dong Thap.

The 2016 National Phu Dong Sports Festival Karatedo Tournament has the participation of 37 delegations with nearly 800 athletes, competing in 16 events: Kata team for men and women in secondary schools; Kata individual for men and women in secondary schools; Kata team for men and women in high schools; Kata individual for men and women in high schools; Kumite team for men and women in secondary schools; Kumite team for men and women in high schools; Kumite individual for men and women in secondary schools; Kumite individual for men and women in high schools... Competing for 35 sets of medals.

Three athletes Trinh Xuan Duc, Nguyen Hong Phuc and Le Trung Son from Nghe An delegation competed excellently in the junior high school boys' team Kata event.

Starting from August 4, after 5 days of exciting and exciting competition, the National Phu Dong Sports Festival Karate Tournament officially closed. Overall results: First prize for the entire team belongs to the Ho Chi Minh City Karate team with 8 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 9 bronze medals; Second prize for the entire team belongs to the Hanoi Karate team with 6 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 5 bronze medals; Third prize for the entire team belongs to the Dong Thap Karate team with 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

Karate athletes won a precious gold medal for Nghe An delegation.

At this tournament, Nghe An Karatedo team had 22 athletes participating, competing in 15 events, winning 01 gold medal, 01 silver medal and 02 bronze medals. This result helped the team rank 5th overall, exceeding the set target (the set target was 01 bronze medal)./.
